Things to do at Lake Bled

Lake Bled is Slovenia's signature day trip from Ljubljana, about 55 km away, and it works well as a single full day: castle, island and a walk around the water. Bled Castle costs 19 EUR for an adult and sits on a cliff above the lake.

A pletna rowing boat out to the island runs around 20 EUR return per adult, with the Assumption of Mary church entrance charged separately at roughly 12 EUR. Prefer walking to a boat ride, the full lakeshore loop is about 6 km and takes around two hours with no real climbing.

There is no entry fee or toll for reaching Bled itself, only paid parking in the central zone, typically 2 EUR an hour or 15 EUR for a full day. Vintgar Gorge, Lake Bohinj and Radovljica are close by but covered on their own pages.
